The Metropolitan Opera: Aida Encore

Detail: NCM Fathom presents an encore presentation of Verdi's Aida in select theatres nationwide. The encore presentation (captured live on October 24, 2009) will be shown for one day only on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 6:30 PM in all time zones. Set in ancient Egypt, Aida is both a heartbreaking love story and an epic drama full of spectacular crowd scenes. A cast of powerful voices and a grand production bring the story to life on the Met stage and on the HD screen. Among the score's highlights is the celebrated Triumphal March.
